E-Z Ink's cartridges have a proven shelf life of 24 months. To make sure the ink cartridge lasts as long as it should, it should be kept in a cool, dry place.

How to install HP 950XL 951XL ink cartridges?

Step 1: Do not touch the chips.

Step 2: Upside down for 2 minutes.

Step 3: Remove the cover carefully.

Step 4: Install the cartridges in the correct position of printer.

Are HP 950XL and 951XL interchangeable?

The short answer is no. Even though HP 950XL and HP 951XL ink cartridges have the same printer compatibility, they do not have the same color combination. The HP 950XL ink cartridge model is only for black, while the HP 951XL is for cyan, magenta, and yellow colors. Interchanging them will not work, as your printer will recognize that you installed the wrong color for a specific slot. This may also damage the printer, so to avoid this, make sure to only install the correct ink model in its respective slot.
